Jamie Burnes remembers the farms from his childhood which are quickly turning into the cities of modern America. Burnes’ steel and wood sculptures strive to convey the clash between the modern construction of the city and the natural forms of the countryside. Because of his concern for the environment, the artist uses only wood found on the floor of a forest, taken from a tree struck by lightening or found in a creek or river bed.
