Paco Young graduated from the Memphis Academy of Art in 1981 and is now one of America's most talented and recognized sporting and landscape artists. His evolution as an artist has been a true labor of love.
Ray "Paco" Young is a native Georgian who grew up fascinated with the outdoors. He wanted to be an artist and share the vision of nature that he knew and so many others appreciated through their own experiences. Paco's hobbies of the sporting life are apparent in his paintings, which reflect the quiet and solitude afforded by fly-fishing and a day afield with a fine pointer or setter.
Since turning to painting as a full-time occupation 20 years ago, Paco Young has been featured as National Artist of the Year by nearly every conservation program in America. He has been featured artist for the Southeastern Wildlife Expo (Charleston, South Carolina, 1994) and is featured in numerous private collections across the country, including the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin.
